Passive House Conference 2026 | 30 – 31 July | Auckland
Event details
Passivhaus is a Team Sport
Join us for two days of insight, connection and practical learning as we bring together the people shaping high-performance buildings in Aotearoa.
This year’s theme recognises something we see time and time again — delivering better buildings is never the work of one person. It takes collaboration across design, products, construction and operation.
Why Attend
The PHINZ Conference is not a passive experience. It’s designed to be practical, engaging and highly relevant to what you’re working on right now.
Across the two days, you’ll hear from leading practitioners, see real project insights, and connect with others who are actively delivering (or moving towards) high-performance outcomes.
We’re also intentionally creating more opportunities to engage — with suppliers, with each other, and with the ideas being presented — so you leave not just inspired, but better equipped.
What’s New for 2026
We’ve evolved the format this year to better reflect how the industry actually works.
Suppliers are integrated into the programme through technical workshops and short-format presentations, giving you direct access to the systems and solutions behind high-performance buildings.
There’s also more structured time for connection — whether that’s during sessions, breaks, or at the Thursday evening networking function.
And to close things out, we’ll be running a hands-on “Amazing Race” style event through the Auckland CBD on the Saturday — a fun and practical way to experience key Passive House Pillars in action.
Who Should Attend
This conference is for anyone involved in the design, delivery or performance of buildings, including:
Architects, designers, builders, engineers, consultants, product suppliers and clients.
Whether you’re already working in Passive House, or looking to better understand what’s involved, you’ll find this both accessible and valuable.
A Note on Value
We know time out of the office matters.
This conference is designed to give you real return — through practical knowledge, meaningful connections, and exposure to the people and products shaping the future of building in New Zealand.
