Topic: Builders and Architects building better together

EVERYONE should have the opportunity live in a warm, dry, healthy, well ventilated home.

A home that is healthy for its inhabitants and for the planet. For whanau and whenua.

The gold standard for healthy living all around the world is Passive House.

For Passive House builds to come together and complete certification, the working relationship of all team members needs to be always airtight.

Join Passive House Builder Liam Edwards of Edwards & Co Builders and Meta Architects Principal and PHINZ board member, Karen Manson for a discussion on building better buildings together.

We hope to learn

  • Why Liam and Karen are passionately pro Passive House.
  • When bridges need to be built or removed.
  • What a window on each others requirements looks like.
  • How much of a breath of fresh filtered air, building Passive House is.
  • What it it looks like when builders and designers come out of their insulated shells to work well together.

Ultimately, we all hope to take away, how to provide a exemplar model on the energy needed to get a proper passive job done.
