Event details
PHINZ is excited to present the third webinar in our Passive House Season – EnerPHit: Renovating our existing buildings for energy efficiency
When: 17th June 2022, 12pm -1.30pm
Cost: Free for PHINZ members, $20 for non-members
Our third webinar in the Passive House Season delves into renovating and retrofitting our existing building stock to EnerPHit – the Passive House Certificate for deep retrofits when the Passive House standard cannot be achieved.
In the coming decade, new builds will only make up a small part of Aotearoa NZ’s building landscape. Buildings are long lived assets that continue to have a climate impact over decades.
The recent IPCC report identified the building industry as being the area to make the most gains. The recent NZ government Emissions Reduction Plan indicates the need for high performance, low emissions buildings. It is time we urgently look at deeper renovation of our existing housing and building stock, so “by 2050, Aotearoa New Zealand’s building-related emissions are near zero and buildings provide healthy places to work and live for present and future generations”*
