Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CET) classroom course, Cromwell
Event details
This course is run by the Passive House Academy (PHANZ).
What is Passive House and what’s involved in the course?
Passive House is a quality assurance standard. It has all the tools needed, right now, to build a secure and healthy future for Kiwis across the country – ticking the boxes for health and wellbeing, financial, energy use and global climate benefits, all in one.
It needs competent hands at all stages for its success. You have the chance to attend a five day classroom training, at the end of which you may sit the externally assessed exam to become a Certified Passive House Tradesperson with the specialisation “Building Envelope”.
This course combines three days of theory with two practical days in the workshop.
You get access to the online learning platform, including course material in pdf format.
Why should you attend?
With this certificate, you signal to your clients and partners that you are part of the move to make a difference. That you have a dedicated approach to building quality through an in-depth understanding of the Passive House standard and the techniques to build to it.
- Get a competitive advantage
- Be at the cutting edge of energy-efficient building
- Learn from experts in the field
[This course] has enabled me to have educated debate with designers and engineers on how a building will perform … These professionals have been grateful to have someone that knows about thermal bridging or allowing for services such as ventilation in the design stage. This has then made the build easier...[and] has seen me win a couple of tenders where competitors didn’t know about heating demands and the importance of good design.
