Practical PH Design Process: from start to finish
Event details
The team at Sustainable Engineering have designed training to further develop expertise in getting Passive House homes in Aotearoa NZ designed and certified. After successfully completing this course, participants will be able to follow a structured process for taking a simple, single-family home from the architectural design through Passive House design and submission for Passive House certification.
It is very suited to those professionals who are preparing to work on their first or second Passive House design for a client.
The course runs over 8 weeks, with lectures twice weekly at lunchtime (12-1:30pm) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
This course is ideal for Certified Passive House Designers/Consultants. It takes the theoretical groundwork and provides a process and pathway for designing straightforward certified projects. It is also suited to people with a background in building science or physics/mechanical/structural engineering and some construction knowledge. The course will provide a bridge from the technical knowledge to the confident use of PHPP for simple Passive House projects. The course will only briefly skim building science; its focus is on the practical tasks that need to be completed to get a project through the certification process.
