The Passive House Season Series 4 – Schools and Community
PHINZ is excited to present the fourth and last webinar in our Passive House Season – Schools and Community
When: 22nd July 2022, 12pm -1.30pm
Cost: Free for PHINZ members, $20 for non-members
The last of our Passive House Season series focuses on our public buildings for schools and community. Passive House is a standard for all our buildings – it is not just about houses. We have exactly the same need for good indoor air quality, thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings where many of us, including our children spend much of the day.
Join us to hear about Australia’s first certified Passive House public building, the Glenroy Community Hub.
The centre includes a library as well as community, culture, and integrated services in an uplifting environment with its biophilic design forging a bond with nature. It also meets Living Building Challenge Petal Certification and Zero Energy Certification.
What are the opportunities for New Zealand schools and community spaces?
The speaker line up and content for Series 4 includes:
- Bohemia Hookham and Kieran Leong of DesignInc : A Passive House for the public – The Glenroy Community Hub
- Joe Lyth from Respond Architects: Windy Ridge School ventilation case study
- Murray Robertson and Elrond Burrell: A feasibility study for Sacred Heart College’s new hub building.
