The LAMNZ Recreational Services Depot building is a small office attached to an industrial workshop. The building is simple and smart with a low roof pitch and green/grey steel cladding helping it to sit comfortably in the surrounding landscape and amongst its industrial neighbours. Complex interaction between timber frame structure, a precast concrete fire wall, steel bracing and roof structure required a significant catalogue of thermal bridges to be modelled and resolved. Passive House and carbon consulting by Elrond Burrell and Jonathan Holmes of VIA architecture.
